Sarah Jernigan and her two rescue dogs have lived in Northern Virginia for the past 20 years. Growing up in Kentucky her family built their dream home from the ground up-- which is where she learned how a house becomes a home and where her passion for real estate began. Sarah works hard to find great homes for all her clients-- even those with 4 paws on the ground!
Starting her real estate career working with local builders in new home construction, Sarah decided to widen her knowledge by becoming a Realtor ®. Spending the last five years working for two of the area’s top real estate teams she knows the business inside and out from handling over 100 transactions personally. By working with the best in the area, Sarah could take best practices to make for a great transaction for her clients! As member of National Association of Realtors and Northern Virginia Association of Realtors, she stays on top of the latest laws and trends in real estate. She is focused on listening to a client’s needs, proactively working to help them find the perfect home and thinking outside the box to creatively solve challenges.
An ally of pet rescue, Sarah has opened her home to many pups and kittens needing a resting spot before they find their perfect home. As the proud owner of two former street dogs she understands the importance of love, the comfort of a safe home, and the value of training to pets. By supporting DC Paws, Sarah is committed to helping pets find a great home to call their own! A portion of each commission earned goes to DC Paws Animal Rescue or a charity of the client’s choice. Giving back is an important part of my life.
Our Mission Statement
Our philosophy is simple: clients come first. We pledge to be in constant communication with our clients, keeping them fully informed throughout the entire buying or selling process. We believe that if you’re not left with an amazing experience, we haven’t done our job. We don’t measure success through achievements or awards, but through the satisfaction of our clients.
When I contracted with Sarah, my stress level went to zero. She seemed to be able to understand immediately what we were looking for in a house and did not waste my time or hers on visiting places that did not meet our criteria. She knows the area extremely well and will steer you away from undesirable environments. As you work with her, you will find that she only represents you as the buyer. You never have to wonder if she is working to get the best deal for you because she always sees you as her customer and that keeps her focused on your needs. She is also with you every step of the way. As we were making bids, her guidance was invaluable.
She also knew what money we had to work with and made sure we stayed within the guidelines without any “surprise” costs at closing. She was with us at every meeting and would clarify any questions we had concerning the purchase. I know there are thousands of realtors out there, but I honestly don’t think you would find another with the impeccable qualities of Sarah. You could not go wrong by having her by your side as you search for the perfect home.Anonymous
Sarah Jernigan, recently helped my family with our home search in the Springfield, VA area – and she was incredible! We worked with her for a lover 3 months to find our perfect home – which was not an easy task because I personally am a very demanding client. Nonetheless, she exercised an extensive amount of patience, persistence, and expertise during our home search. We are happy to report that we just recently moved into our dream home and we absolutely love it! We are completely convinced that we were able to secure this home due to her resourcefulness and relationship with other real estate professionals within the Northern Virginia market. With this being said, we wholeheartedly recommend her – as she will get the job done! But more importantly, once she gets the job done, she makes a concerted effort to maintain a continued relationship with her clients.Anonymous
I am thrilled that you are considering Sarah as your agent! She is one of the most hard working and genuine persons I know. I had an agent prior to her and could not seem to communicate my desires or needs adequately to her. When I contracted with Sarah, my stress level went to zero.
