Meet Sarah
Sarah Jernigan and her two rescue dogs have lived in Northern Virginia for the past 20 years. Growing up in Kentucky her family built their dream home from the ground up-- which is where she learned how a house becomes a home and where her passion for real estate began. Sarah works hard to find great homes for all her clients-- even those with 4 paws on the ground!
Starting her real estate career working with local builders in new home construction, Sarah decided to widen her knowledge by becoming a Realtor ®. Spending the last five years working for two of the area’s top real estate teams she knows the business inside and out from handling over 100 transactions personally. By working with the best in the area, Sarah could take best practices to make for a great transaction for her clients! As member of National Association of Realtors and Northern Virginia Association of Realtors, she stays on top of the latest laws and trends in real estate. She is focused on listening to a client’s needs, proactively working to help them find the perfect home and thinking outside the box to creatively solve challenges.
An ally of pet rescue, Sarah has opened her home to many pups and kittens needing a resting spot before they find their perfect home. As the proud owner of two former street dogs she understands the importance of love, the comfort of a safe home, and the value of training to pets. By supporting DC Paws, Sarah is committed to helping pets find a great home to call their own! A portion of each commission earned goes to DC Paws Animal Rescue or a charity of the client’s choice. Giving back is an important part of my life.

DC PAWS Rescue
DC PAWS Rescue saves stray, neglected, unwanted and abused animals from animal control facilities and places them in safe, supportive and loving foster and adoptive homes in the Washington, DC and surrounding areas. We believe there is more to rescue than placing shelter animals into forever homes. We believe that rescue should support the people who support the rescue, and support the needs of the dogs and cats on their journey to a forever home.
DC PAWS RESCUE is committed to:
